Playing with Studio Calico

Good morning, everyone!

I am lucky enough to have a long weekend this week (yay for Presidents' birthdays), so I've had the opportunity to be crafty. Besides doing some design team assignments, I've also had the chance to play with the Metropolitan kit from Studio Calico. Even though I bought the kit a few weeks ago, this is the first real chance I've had to take it out and play. *sigh.* This is my PERFECT kit. I love the colors and the embellies (my love for the Sassafras flowers is strong!).

Anyways, enough rambling...here are 2 layouts that I made with the kit:

Thanks for stopping by...enjoy your week!!!

Quick Layout

Hey, all!

I just have a quick layout I want to share with you. I made it back in the beginning of January, but just never got around to posting it:
It was super quick and simple to make. The title was made by tracing chipboard letters...so I actually saved money because I can use the chipboard letters again later! I also punched circles out of some newspaper and then cut them in half to make the scallop-ish border.

Thanks for stopping by!!

introducing "House of Art" and "Sketches 2 Scrapbook - Cards"

Hey, all!

I just wanted to pop in and tell you about a new kit club...it's called House of Art. The owner, Ariana, seems like an awesome chick and promises fun and colorful kits...yay!
I was lucky enough to be selected as one of the desingers and I can't wait to dive in and play...good news is that there will plenty of opportunities for you to get in on the fun, too. House of Art will be having a "housewarming party" where you can win fun prizes, etc. More details will be released next week...so stay tuned... ;)

-----------------------------------------------------

In other news, Anam Stubbington has released a new iPhone app called "Sketches 2 Scrapbook - CARDS." There are 2 downloads: one is FREE and includes 12 sketches and is found here. The other is a full version that includes 104 sketches (+ the 12 free ones) for only $4.99. That one can be found here.

I was lucky enough to design a card for this app:
Don't really know who gives cards for traveling, but apparently, I do...haha!

Thanks for stopping by today. Be sure to go check out House of Art and Sketches 2 Scrapbook!

CS #141

Good morning!

Today I'm playing along with last week's sketch from Creative Scrappers. I thought it was a fun sketch, but I didn't get time to play with it last week. Here is what I came up with today:Don't the boys look good? One of Eric's best friends got married on New Year's Eve on the beach. All their pictures turned out gorgeous! And you can't tell from the picture, but there are tulle stars on here as well as some beige bubble wrap pattern. I guess they are both so light in color that neither will show up in the scan...oh well! :)

This layout was inspired by Ronda Palazzari's layout, found here.

Enjoy the rest of your day.

And here is the layout that I created that was inspired by the picture:
I also scraplifted Maggie Holmes' cool layout, "muffins," found here.

SOTB - February

Hey, all!

The newest challenge is posted over at Scrap Outside the Box. The challenge this month: use a popsicle stick (or more, if you like!) on your project. Here is what I created:

Isn't that picture great? Even Duke, the dog, looked at the camera. I ♥ it!

I also used this cool PageMaps sketch to create my layout:
Hop on over to SOTB to see other takes on the challenge. All participants are entered for a chance to win an iTunes gift card.
