Moose Moose || Pretty Little Studio

Good morning everyone!  I'm popping in to share a recent layout that I made for Pretty Little Studio using the new Ain't Life Grand collection.  I have to tell you, I really love this collection - especially all the bright, happy colors and graphic patterns.

For my layout today, I decided to pull out the pretty blues and lime green and focus on those colors for my layout:
This layout came together pretty quickly, as I decided to do an easy banner design across my page.  I layered on some word flags and even used a journaling card from the Treasure Island collection that coordinated perfectly with the Ain't Life Grand products.  Here's the final look:
Hope you enjoy!

A Few More PI Shares

Good morning everyone!  I am popping by to share a few more layouts created for Paper Issues...and unfortunately, my last ones for a while, as my term with them has come to an end :(  This was such a great team to be on!

Anywho, the first layout was made for this month's Swag Bag Sunday and was made with the March Swag Bag.  I love the happy colors and patterns included:

The second layout was made with new Family Forever collection from Fancy Pants.  I got the idea for the background of the layout from PI girl, Cat:

CardMaker Magazine + Lil Inker Designs Blog Hop

Hi, everyone!!  Happy Fri-YAY and welcome to the CardMaker Magazine + Lil Inker Designs blog hop!!

Lil Inker Designs was super generous and gave us some great product to play with.  For my card today I decided to use the ridiculously cute Perfect Pairs stamps combined with the Dip Dyed Ombre Paper Pad to create this simple, but cute, card:

Seriously, I can't get enough of those little stamps and I'm pretty sure I'm going to be breaking them out again soon for some of my #the100dayproject Project Life cards.

Next up on the hop is Chrissy Larson!  Be sure to hop along for your chance to win a $35 gift card from Lil Inker Designs.

If you didn't start at the beginning, you can do so at the CardMaker Magazine blog!

Happy hopping!!

New Issue Monday || Paper Issues

Good morning everyone!  It's new issue Monday over at the Paper Issues blog!  The issue this month: "Put the Pedal to the Metal/Medal".  Some suggestions:

-Use metallics and/or metal embellishments

-Create a project using flowers or about gardening and spring

-Share something about transportation like bicycles, motorcycles, cars (your first car or current ride), toy cars

-Show us a project about awards and/or accomplishments

I went the easy route and created a project using a pretty floral pattern form the new Elle's Studio Live Laugh Love collection:

This collection is so pretty.  But honestly, I love pretty much everything that Elle's Studio comes out with.  Their patterns are so sweet.

Make sure you play along with us for your chance to win a PI gift card at the end of month.  And remember that you can always use code KAT20 at check out to save 20% off your order in the Paper Issues store.

Mother's Day Card

Good morning everyone!  I am up on the Pretty Little Studio blog today sharing a card inspired by this cute image:

When I saw this inspiration image I knew I wanted to use the pretty With all my Heart collection.  I also knew I wanted to use a muted background with a major pop of pink on top.
However, instead of making an Easter card, I decided to get a jumpstart on May and create a Mother's Day card:
This collection and its embellishments are so beautiful that very little work was required on my part to make this all come together. :)

Thanks for popping in!

Project Life Catch Up with #the100dayproject

Hello all!  Happy, happy weekend!

I wanted to pop in and share that this year I have decided to participate in #the100dayproject.  If you're not familiar with the project, it was a concept developed by Elle Luna, in which you pick something and do it every day for 100 days.  I decided to go the creative route and make a project life filler card each day.

Why?  Because I am waaaaay far behind on my Project Life and it is a project that I love and that I want to continue to do for future Benjamin generations.  I think (and really, really hope) that this project will help me get back on track.

My plan:
-Get up to date with my 2017 album first...continue to update as the project runs its course, so that by the time the porject comes to an end on July 12, I will be up-to-date through June.
-Finish the few weeks I left uncompleted in my 2013 (yikes!) album.
-Finish the half-year or so I have left on my 2015 album (double yikes!).
-Finish the over half-year I have left on my 2016 album.

It seems super daunting and I'm not totally sure I'll be able to get all this done by the time the project ends, but I will make a dent in it.  I WILL!  I WILL!  :-)

The project began on the 4th, so I have already completed 5 days...and I actually had a few days where I was motivated to do a bit more, so my January 2017 spread is complete...I'll share that with you a bit a later in the month.  For now, enjoy my daily cards (and follow along in real time here)...and let me know - are you participating in #the100dayproject?
